Sharing information from Southeast Linn Community Center:
Registration is now open for Southeast Linn Community Center’s annual School Supply Distribution. FREE supplies and backpacks are available to Lisbon and Mount Vernon students, as well as students who are homeschooled in those communities.

Pre-registration is required. Register here or at selinn.org or by calling 319-455-2844. Those who sign up by Friday, May 31st will be entered into a drawing for a gift card.

Distribution will be on Wednesday, August 7th from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at the Lester Buresh Center in Mount Vernon. Community members interested in supporting this event can provide a financial donation, contribute supplies, or volunteer.

What a weekend on the Blue Oval! After the rain on Friday, the Mustang girls track team got back to business on Saturday at the Drake Relays.
Shuttle Hurdle got it started Saturday morning on a beautiful morning at Drake Stadium. Elsa Appleton, Eastin Whisner, Olivia Haverback, and Chloe Meester ended up 16th.
The 4×100 team of Lillian Wischmeyer, Lucy Wischmeyer, Kara Swantz, and Cali Whitaker get the baton around the blue oval in a season’s best time of 51.08!
Evelyn Moeller, Eastin Whisner, Sam Schoff, and Kiersten Swart ran their best time of the season in 9:35.29 to finish 13th in the 4×800!
Eastin Whisner ran a 65.22 to finish 7th at the Drake Relays in the 400 hurdles. Great race!
Congratulations to all that participated in the annual Drake Relays!

The Mustangs that competed as of this afternoon were Cali Whitaker in the 100 m dash (tied for 21st), Lucy Wischmeyer in the long jump (24th place), Libby Dix in the discus (8th place) and Sydney Maue (2nd place) Sydney tied the first place finisher at 5′ 7" but cleared her jump in three attempts and the first place finisher cleared the height in two attempts.
Next up will be the 4×400 m relay tonight. The 400 hurdles, 4×100 m relay, shuttle hurdle relay, and 4×800 m relay will run tomorrow. Best of luck!
